My friend Cairo was moving back to California and I decided to catch a ride w/ him. He was also kind enough to make a stop in Owensboro,KY one morning for a photo shoot that I got hired to do for some magazine. Thanks Cairo.
This baby llama was there to greet us.




On the way out to California we stopped at a few of these amazing (and gigantic) camping/fishing stores. Its called Cabella's. They had cool little aquariums and wildlife display in the store. I tried to shoot some photos and make them look real. These stops were a nice break for our long journey.



On the fourth day of the trip of the trip we woke up to a 10 degree Lincoln,NE. We decided that we wanted to get to Oakland by the next afternoon. So we started our long drive 24hour non stop drive. We got there the next morning and unloaded the truck at a public storage. And then made our way in to SF via bart train. We got our SF burrito fill and met up with some old friends. My battery died out but it was a good time. Oh, and the weather was amazing.

After a few days in the Bay area. I went to visit my mom up in northern California. We went hiking up in Mt Lassen and stopped by the meadow where our old house is. Lots of old memories. We used to see a lot of coyotes and foxes trotting around in this meadow. We also had this big dead tree that a big blue heron would perch on quite often. The winter that my step dad got sick, that tree fell. A little strange right?
